A closer look
at Tutelix
technology.
Prostate spacing technology developed around hydrogel behaviour, clinical placement and the realities of the treatment environment.
From liquid to a stable spacer.
The thermo-responsive polymer is delivered in a fluid state and forms a stable, cohesive hydrogel spacer once injected.
That change creates temporary separation between the prostate and anterior rectal wall.
The materialFluid state
Delivered in a fluid state for precise placement.
In transition
Responds to body temperature, forming a cohesive hydrogel spacer.
Stable spacer
Maintains its form as a temporary hydrogel spacer following placement.
Visualisation
Placement
you can see.
Continuous ultrasound guidance allows the clinician to maintain visualisation as the hydrogel is injected and the spacer is formed, with the hydrogel remaining visible during and after injection.
— Designed for ultrasound visibility
Two pathways to placement.
Placement can follow either direct injection or pre-implant hydrodissection. In both approaches, the aim is to establish space between the prostate and rectum during placement.
Placement Pathways-
The hydrogel is placed directly into the intended space.
-
A small amount of saline is first used to establish the space before the hydrogel is placed.
The space
takes shape.
Placement creates a defined spacer between the prostate and rectum. It’s shape, symmetry and separation can then be assessed as part of the procedure.
